Our Böllis® are straw pellets rich in structure and have proven their worth in poultry farming. The animal’s natural behavior causes it to peck at the pellets, which means that absorbent and fresh material is constantly available in the barn. Frequently asked questions
How much bedding do I need for Böllis®?
The amount of litter required varies depending on the type of housing and space requirements of the animals. In turkey rearing, 5-7 kg/m² of litter can be expected once, while turkey fatteners should allow for approx. 10 kg/m². In broiler fattening, a single litter application of 500-600 g/m² is sufficient. We will be happy to advise you on a farm-specific basis and find the best solution for your animals and your farm.
How are Böllis® stored?
Due to their compactness and low bedding requirement, Böllis® can be stored in a very space-saving and uncomplicated manner. Böllis® should be stored away from precipitation so that they retain their pellet shape.

Where and how can the manure produced be recycled?
The manure produced by bedding with Böllis® is particularly valuable. Because the lignin structure in the cell walls is broken down when the straw is pressed, the pellets decompose particularly well in the soil and in the biogas plant and have a particularly high gas yield compared to conventional manure. As an option, we offer a convenient manure container for rent to store the manure.

Our structured straw pellets are the perfect bedding for the horse box. The Böllis® are gentle on the hoof, very economical and practical to use.

Our straw pellets can be used for automated bedding. Regardless of whether it’s for a pedal manure barn, deep stall or calf igloos – with our Böllis® we provide you with the perfect bedding material. With Böllis®, your cattle stay dry, joints are protected, bacterial pressure is reduced and udder health is promoted.
